Maya - Your puppy can’t wait for you to come home. Just kidding Alesia. Just a few more hours. My palms are sweating. Just imaging how you guys feel. Wow.
That picture is perfect. I think that’s how I look all the time. She’s fabulous and a lucky girl to have the two of you. Sending all our love for a safe trip back to Maya’s new home.
Maya, Hana says she wants to give you a little piece of the cookie she is eating right now. Mai and Alesia, Dan and I want to give you guys a big hug! Congratulations. Pretty incredible.
What a joy it is to know that at long last you are all united. I can only imagine the rollercoaster of emotions the three of you are experiencing but, I am confident that the greatest of them is love.
Just know that there is a bunch more of it waiting for you here.
Well you also had me in tears twice in the last two days. All the kids and teachers at Gompers are excited for the three of you. The kids at school want to use the picture of Maya in the sweater as a screen saver after the Bears win this week-end. Right now they have the spot Send more pictures and let us know how things are going. Thanks a million for having this website. It is almost like being there.
All my love,
Susan
Alesia, Mai and Maya -
She is beautiful!! Be sure and save the story of your first meeting with your daughter - she will love it - it was certainly touching. Best wishes to all three of you.
(This is my second try - hope it works!)
Thanks everyone for the warm wishes! I’m having a good day today. I got to eat in a restaurant twice today! I went for a long walk and got to visit my first Wal-Mart. It’s a very crazy place! Lots of people! Right now, I’m contemplating the meaning of the world while taking a nap! Big hugs to you all and I can’t wait to meet you. Hana, be sure to save me some of that cookie! I love the snacks!
It seems like Maya is getting more beautiful in every picture. I love that she is independent and fiesty about some things. She sounds like she will fit right in with the other grandchildren in our family. We all love girls with attitude! It also sounds like she likes the outdoors, maybe she can go camping with her Dad later on.
Keep the pictures and e-mails coming. I love to read them.
Love,
Aunt Reanna
Alesia, Mai and Maya: The emails are the first thing we read each night when we get home from work…and we especially love the pictures! Maya, you are a beautiful girl! Can’t wait to meet you. (We’re not sure if Amy or Gracie are ready to share their cookies…but we can always buy another bag). Take good care!
MAYA is getting more friendly looking each picture. She is absolutely beautiful. You guys must be doing something right. She has already bonded with you.
We can’t wait to hold her. Such a precious addition to our family. GOD is good.
Thanks grandma and grandpa! I can’t wait to meet you too! Mommy and Daddy are doing the best they can. Yummy in my tummy! See you soon.

Heck you have us all under your spell, look at me it is 2 a.m. and I am looking for new pictures. Have a safe trip home.
Love Aunt Karen
It was a long day of snacking…(I mean travel) yesterday. Mommy and Daddy were too tired by the time we reached the hotel to do an emails. I told them people would be disappointed. They said they would make it up to everyone with two emails with pictures today…and they did. It’s a good thing too because my fingers are too short to type and I would hate to have to dictate those long emails. Mommy doesn’t know baby (I mean Chinese), ya know!
Hello!!
I hope the end of your trip is going well! I can’t wait to come home for spring break and see the new baby (I’ll even babysit if you want . So, has she said any English words yet? How about her chinese? Does she just babble a lot or does she actually know Chinese words and phrases? Those pictures look great and so does the weather (it’s snowing inches upon inches here!). She is super cute, and I have her picture as my desktop (I keep changing it because I keep receiving new pictures that are my favorite). Make sure you buy lots and lots of Cheerios for the flight home (I loved cheerios when i was her age too, so I know how it is). Talk to you soon!!!
Maya,
My students want to know if you can visit next week. They are so excited. They said you need to start hearing English anyhow. Of course they speak a version of English/Spanish. So you could become trilingual. Welcome to Illinois and the cold. It will get better. Hope to see you soon.
Maya and her parents too,
It was such a pleasure to meet you at the airport when you arrived on Friday. Alaina and I are the first to see you in person. You are more beautiful and expressive than the pictures could ever show.
We cant wait to come to visit again, hopefully on Monday the 12th. I have more presents to give you.
